The bird feeders and especially the food falling down invite non-feathered creatures, too. So I can watch not only titmice, but also “real” mice. One more frequently seen fellow is the yard mouse. The yard mouse is a wood mouse, as quick Wikipedia research showed. He is a pretty good climber and goes up and down the trunks easily. I have yet to determine how far he manages into the branches.
More a little bit of a worry is whether he can go up walls, too, and maybe reaches windows (well, they are screened) or the balcony. But since he is a wood mouse, not a house mouse, he is hopefully not interested.
